How Long Before the Event Date Should I Set Up My Register?
We suggest you set up your register two months before your event date, or to coincide with the sending of your invitations.
As with most retailers we have seasonal stock which sells out during a season. In order that your register has mostly items which are currently available to your guests we suggest you only set up your register a couple of months before the event date.
It is also important that you visit your register from time to time and "refresh" your product choice. In this way you can easily see if any items are no longer available and you can add other items to appear in your register.
Can I Have a Registry if it’s Not a Wedding?
Yes, you can create a registry for any event. 21st birthdays, engagements, baby showers, wedding anniversaries, special birthdays, are common reasons for having a registry.
You can even create your own “wish list” so you can accumulate ideas on things you would like to purchase for yourself in the future. Just click on “this registry is not ready to display on-line” to keep it to your self or “display the registry on-line” if you want others to be able to see it.
Do I Need an E-mail Address To Have a Registry?
No, you do not need an e-mail address to create a registry, but it is extremely helpful. It means we can contact you with updates on how your registry is going or to give you helpful suggestions. At the beginning of setting up a registry you can elect “I do not have an e-mail address” if you choose.
How Do I Find Someone’s Registry?
In the “locate a registry” area search on either the registrants name or the registry ID number, if you have been given it. Enter either of these details in the appropriate field and click "search".
Note: you must click "search" to locate a register. Hitting "enter" will return you to the same page as you are on.
How Do I Purchase From a Registry?
First locate the registry you are looking for (as above). Open the registry and review the products in the registry. If you wish to purchase a product or products from the registry enter the quantities desired in the boxes alongside the products and add them to your basket. When you have finished and are happy with your purchase, proceed to checkout in the normal way.
On checkout you have several choices: to include a card and write a message in it, to have the product(s) gift wrapped by us free of charge, to send the products directly to the registry owner or have your purchase delivered to any other address of your choice. A priced packing slip will only accompany the goods only if you have selected this option, otherwise a non-priced packing slip will accompany the goods.
If I Buy a Gift for a Registrant, How Do They Know Who It's From?
It's a good idea to purchase a card and add your personal message in the checkout process. This way the recipient will know who has bought them such a lovely gift!
(You would be surprised! Many registrants receive gifts from their register and they don't know who they are from!)
I Have Selected a Product to Purchase for a Register But I Can't Seem To Add It To My Basket?
To add a product to your basket you need to put a quantity in the quantity box and then click "Add To Basket" at the bottom of the page you are on. You then add another product or proceed to the check out on the normal way.
Remember you can add a card and a message on your way through the check out process. (If you've purchased a lovely gift it's a good idea if the recipient knows who it is from!)
Can I Amend a Registry After I’ve Created It?
Yes, simply enter your e-mail address and your password and " Locate Your Registry". Then click on “view/amend registry” to up date your registry. You can add products as if you were shopping. Remember to put a quantity in the quantity box. To delete a product place a zero in the quantity box and update.
In a similar way you can check on the progress of your register from time to time to see how many products have been purchased. If a large proportion have been purchased then you can add more products at any time.
Can I E-mail a Registry To My Friends or Guests?
Yes, you can e-mail your registry to friends or guests. To do this open up your registry and click “e-mail a friend” on the bottom left hand menu bar. You can add a message and send the link directly to this page of your registry.
Do Guests See the Total Value of the Registry?
No, the total on the registry is only able to be seen by the person setting up the registry, i.e. if it is accessed with the password. Guest accessing the registry do not see a total value for the registry.
If Guests Make a Purchase on the Web is it Deleted From the Registry?
Yes, so long as they have accessed your registry and made their purchase from there then once their purchase is completed then that item is marked as “taken” on your registry. If they go to the web and make a purchase just through the normal shopping mechanism then there is no way to link this purchase to your registry and your registry will not be amended.
If a guest makes a purchase in a nest store and the purchase has been identified to the sales assistant as being on your registry then the item will be “taken” from your registry at checkout. Your guests need to identify the items that they are purchasing in a nest store as being from your registry for this to happen.
Can I Set up a Registry in a nest Store?
Yes, registries can be set up in any nest store. The sales assistant will assist you to set up the registry on the web site, so your guests can purchase from your registry either in-store or on the web.
If I Set up a Registry in One nest Store Can Guests Purchase From it in Any nest Store?
Once a registry is established, guests can purchase from it at any nest store or from the registry on the web site.
I Have Set up a Register But Now Can't Find it Under Locate a Register?
Once you have set up a register you need to click "Display This Registry On-Line". You can do this by entering your register via "Your Register", go to "Update Profile" (on the menu bar top left) and at the bottom of this page click "Display This Register On-line".
Addionally a register will not be accessible via "Locate a Register" until there is at least one product in the register. Make sure there is at least one product in your register if you want to check this.
If a Product in My Register is "Available In Store Only", Can Guests Still Purchase The Item Without Visiting a Store?
Yes, they can contact any of our stores by telephone or e-mail and make their purchase directly with the store. They must inform the store that the purchase is for a register and give the register number and then the store staff will make sure your register is updated.
The store will handle the delivery if the guest chooses this option.
